Welcome to KampusTrade. These Seller Terms & Conditions (“Seller Terms”) govern your registration and use of KampusTrade as a seller.
By registering as a seller, submitting products or services for listing, accepting orders, or using any seller feature on KampusTrade, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Seller Terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not register or operate as a seller on KampusTrade.
1. ABOUT KAMPUSTRADE
KampusTrade is a marketplace designed to connect buyers with student entrepreneurs, campus businesses, vendors and service providers.
KampusTrade provides the marketplace infrastructure through which sellers may:
- Create seller profiles;
- List products or services;
- Receive customer orders;
- Promote their businesses;
- Participate in marketplace campaigns;
- Access promotional opportunities;
- Receive customer reviews and ratings; and
- Participate in KampusTrade rewards, events and recognition programmes.
KampusTrade is not automatically the manufacturer, owner, supplier or physical seller of products listed by independent sellers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the seller remains responsible for the products or services they offer to customers.
2. ELIGIBILITY TO SELL
To become a KampusTrade seller, you must:
- Provide accurate registration information;
- Be legally permitted to sell the products or services you list;
- Provide any identification or verification information reasonably requested by KampusTrade;
- Provide valid contact and payment information;
- Agree to these Seller Terms and applicable marketplace policies; and
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
KampusTrade may reject, delay or request additional information regarding any seller application.
Approval as a seller does not guarantee sales, income or a specific level of visibility on the platform.
3. SELLER VERIFICATION
KampusTrade may request information or documents to verify a seller’s identity, student status, business activity or products.
Verification may include:
- Name and contact details;
- Student identification;
- Business information;
- Product information;
- Social media/business pages;
- Payment information; or
- Other reasonable information required to protect the marketplace.
A seller may receive a Verified Seller status after completing KampusTrade’s verification requirements.
Verification does not mean that KampusTrade guarantees the quality, legality or performance of every product or service offered by that seller.
4. SELLER INFORMATION
You agree to provide truthful, accurate and current information.
You must not:
- Use another person’s identity;
- Register a fake business;
- Provide false payment information;
- Misrepresent your products;
- Upload misleading images;
- Manipulate ratings or reviews; or
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of abusing KampusTrade promotions or systems.
You are responsible for keeping your account information secure.
5. PRODUCT AND SERVICE LISTINGS
Every listing must accurately represent the product or service being offered.
Sellers must provide, where applicable:
- Correct product name;
- Accurate description;
- Current price;
- Available quantity;
- Product condition;
- Relevant specifications;
- Clear images;
- Delivery/pickup information;
- Applicable variations such as size, colour or model; and
- Any important limitations or conditions.
Product descriptions must not contain false, misleading, exaggerated or deceptive claims.
Prices displayed to buyers must be accurate and must reflect the actual amount payable for the product or service, subject to any clearly disclosed delivery or other applicable charges.
FCCPC guidance states that businesses should provide understandable product/service information and disclose material facts and prices clearly.
6. PRODUCT IMAGES AND CONTENT
Sellers must only upload photographs, videos, logos, descriptions and other materials that they are permitted to use.
You must not upload:
- Copyrighted material without permission;
- Misleading product photographs;
- Images of products you do not actually sell;
- Stolen photographs;
- Fraudulent documents; or
- Content that violates applicable law or KampusTrade policies.
KampusTrade may remove content that is misleading, inappropriate, unlawful or inconsistent with marketplace standards.
7. PROHIBITED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Sellers must not list or sell products or services that are illegal or prohibited by applicable law or KampusTrade policy.
Examples may include:
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- Counterfeit goods;
- Stolen goods;
- Fraudulent documents;
- Weapons or prohibited weapon-related products;
- Explosives;
- Items that infringe intellectual property rights;
- Fraudulent financial services;
- Dangerous or illegal products;
- Products falsely represented as genuine or original;
- Products prohibited by applicable Nigerian law; and
- Any other category that KampusTrade identifies as prohibited.
KampusTrade may remove prohibited listings immediately and may suspend or terminate the responsible seller’s account.
8. SELLER RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRODUCTS
The seller is responsible for ensuring that products and services listed on KampusTrade:
- Exist and are available for sale;
- Match their descriptions;
- Are of acceptable quality;
- Are safe and suitable for their stated purpose;
- Are lawfully offered for sale;
- Are appropriately packaged where necessary; and
- Meet any applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
KampusTrade does not authorize sellers to make unsupported claims about the quality, safety, medical benefits, performance or effectiveness of their products.
9. ORDER ACCEPTANCE
When a buyer places an order, the seller is expected to respond and fulfil the order within the stated fulfilment period.
Sellers must not:
- Accept orders they cannot reasonably fulfil;
- Mark an order as completed when it has not been fulfilled;
- Cancel genuine orders without reasonable justification;
- Substitute products without the buyer’s consent; or
- Delay an order without informing the buyer.
Repeated failure to fulfil accepted orders may affect seller visibility, seller status or account access.
10. INVENTORY AND AVAILABILITY
Sellers are responsible for keeping their listings reasonably up to date.
If a product becomes unavailable, the seller should update or deactivate the listing promptly.
A seller should not accept payment for an item that they know is unavailable.
Repeated inventory-related complaints may result in listing restrictions or seller review.
11. DELIVERY AND PICKUP
At the initial stage of KampusTrade, sellers are generally responsible for fulfilling orders through the delivery or pickup method stated on their listings.
Available fulfilment options may include:
- Campus pickup;
- Seller delivery;
- Customer pickup;
- Third-party dispatch/delivery; or
- Other methods approved by KampusTrade.
The seller must clearly communicate:
- Delivery areas;
- Expected delivery timeframe;
- Delivery charges, where applicable;
- Pickup location or arrangements; and
- Any relevant fulfilment conditions.
KampusTrade may introduce official delivery partners or KampusTrade delivery services in the future.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, KampusTrade is not responsible for physically transporting the seller’s products.
Timely delivery and appropriate handling of customer complaints are important components of responsible e-commerce practice.
12. ORDER CONFIRMATION
KampusTrade may use an order confirmation code, QR code, digital confirmation, delivery evidence or another verification method to confirm that an order has been received by the buyer.
Sellers must not falsely mark an order as delivered or completed.
Where a confirmation system is used, sellers must follow the required procedure.
13. PAYMENT
Payments may be processed through payment providers supported by KampusTrade, including Paystack or other approved payment services.
The seller agrees that:
- Payment information must be accurate;
- Orders should only be treated as paid when payment is confirmed through the platform;
- Sellers must not falsely claim that a payment has been received;
- Applicable marketplace fees or commissions may be deducted before seller payout; and
- Seller payouts may be subject to applicable payment-provider processing rules and settlement periods.
KampusTrade may provide separate payment and payout information as the platform develops.
14. KAMPUSTRADE COMMISSION
KampusTrade may charge a 7% Commission
KampusTrade may introduce different commission structures for:
- Standard sellers;
- Verified sellers;
- Featured sellers;
- Pro sellers;
- Promotional campaigns; or
- Special marketplace programmes.
Any material change to applicable seller fees should be communicated to sellers before implementation.
15. PAYMENT PROCESSING FEES
Payment processing charges may apply to transactions processed through the payment provider.
Responsibility for payment processing fees may depend on the applicable KampusTrade payment structure and seller programme.
KampusTrade will communicate the applicable arrangement before the seller is required to accept it.
16. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Sellers must maintain a fair and clearly communicated return, refund and cancellation policy that complies with applicable law and KampusTrade marketplace rules.
Where a product is defective, materially different from its description, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise subject to a valid consumer remedy, the seller may be required to provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement or refund where applicable.
Consumers may have statutory rights that cannot be removed simply by a seller’s private return policy. FCCPC materials recognize consumer rights concerning returns, refunds, product quality, accurate descriptions and cancellation in applicable circumstances.
Sellers must not use statements such as:
“NO REFUND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE”
to attempt to remove rights that consumers have under applicable law.
17. DISPUTES BETWEEN BUYERS AND SELLERS
KampusTrade may assist in resolving marketplace disputes.
Where a dispute occurs, KampusTrade may request evidence from either party, including:
- Order details;
- Payment records;
- Product photographs;
- Delivery evidence;
- Pickup confirmation;
- Chat or communication records;
- Videos;
- Receipts;
- Tracking information; or
- Other relevant evidence.
KampusTrade may temporarily hold, restrict or delay a transaction or payout while a legitimate dispute is being investigated, where the platform’s payment structure permits this.
KampusTrade will consider available evidence rather than automatically assuming that either the buyer or seller is correct.
Our principle is:
We don’t automatically believe the buyer.
We don’t automatically believe the seller.
We verify the transaction.
18. SELLER RESPONSIBILITY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Sellers are expected to communicate professionally with buyers.
Sellers should:
- Respond to legitimate customer enquiries;
- Provide accurate information;
- Communicate delays;
- Treat customers respectfully;
- Resolve reasonable complaints promptly; and
- Cooperate with KampusTrade during dispute investigations.

Sellers must not:
- Pay people to create fake reviews;
- Create fake buyer accounts;
- Manipulate ratings;
- Threaten customers for negative reviews; or
- Offer misleading incentives for artificially positive reviews.
KampusTrade may remove reviews that are demonstrably fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant or generated through manipulation.

- Social media;

- Promotional campaigns;
- Events;
- Advertisements;

- Glims Media promotional opportunities.
Where appropriate, sellers may be contacted about paid promotional opportunities.
Participation in paid promotion does not guarantee sales.

KampusTrade may recognize outstanding sellers through programmes such as:
- KampusTrade Seller of the Month;
- Rising Entrepreneur;
- Customer Service Champion;

- Other published criteria.

22. SELLER REFERRAL PROGRAMMES
KampusTrade may operate seller referral or ambassador programmes.

Referral rewards will only apply where the applicable programme conditions are satisfied.
KampusTrade may reject referrals involving:
- Duplicate accounts;
- Fake registrations;
- Self-referrals;
- Fraudulent activity;

- Engage in any activity that could reasonably damage the safety, trust or integrity of the marketplace.
27. OFF-PLATFORM TRANSACTIONS
KampusTrade may allow buyers and sellers to communicate for legitimate purposes.
However, sellers must not deliberately use KampusTrade solely to obtain customers and then manipulate, deceive or pressure them into transactions designed to evade legitimate KampusTrade fees, protections or marketplace systems.
KampusTrade may restrict accounts that repeatedly abuse the platform in this manner.
28. FRAUD AND SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
KampusTrade may investigate suspected:
- Fraud;

KampusTrade may restrict an account while an investigation is ongoing.

- Appears fraudulent;
- Contains prohibited goods;
- Creates a safety concern;
- Receives credible complaints; or
- Otherwise presents a material risk to the marketplace.
31. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
KampusTrade, its branding, logo, website design, software and original platform content belong to their respective owners.
Sellers retain ownership of their original business content, subject to the rights granted to KampusTrade to operate the marketplace.
By uploading product photographs, videos, logos and descriptions, you grant KampusTrade permission to use that material for operating, displaying and promoting your listing and marketplace presence, subject to applicable law and the KampusTrade Privacy Policy.

This does not remove or limit any liability or obligation that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
